DRAGO GT

DRAGO GT - the ultimate high performance corn head.

With the DRAGO GT you will take your corn harvest to a whole new level.

This Corn Head is set with automatic deck plates with patented shock absorption, it prevents losses of ears and kernels. The new double chopping system with scissor cut allows a clean shredding and distribution of the corn stalks, even at high working speeds.

Patented Chopping System

DOUBLE CHOPPER WITH SCISSOR CUT

DRAGO GT is available with a revolutionary double chopping system patented by Olimac. Each row is equipped with four counter-rotating chopper blades. These are staggered in height and overlap, thus shredding the corn stalks with a scissor-cut method.

EVENLY DISTRIBUTED CHOPPING MATERIAL

The double chopping system of DRAGO GT covers the entire working width with cutting knives. This guarantees an even chopping result, also in case of imprecisely sown rows or when approaching a field. The blades' high rotation speed ensures an optimal shredding of the corn straw, even at high working speeds.

LEAVES FIELD READY FOR PLOWING

The chopping blades of DRAGO GT work almost parallel to the ground, thus enabling a low driving position. The corn stubbles are shortened to a length of a few centimeters and split open which ensures fast composting and effectively prevents pests.

Automatic Self-Adjusting Deck Plates

MINIMIZES HARVESTING LOSSES

DRAGO GT is equipped with a patented system for an automatic adjustement of the deck plate spacings. Each row adjusts the distance of its deck plates automatically and independently of the other rows.

SPACINGS ADAPT CONSTANTLY

DRAGO GT adapts constantly and optimally to the current field conditions and thereby minimizes harvesting losses considerably. Its deck plates work fully automatically. During harvest, no further intervention by the driver is necessary.

MORE PRECISE WITH TENSION SPRINGS

The technology of automatic deck plate adjustment introduced by Olimac has proven over many years and has been further developed for DRAGO GT. It now features a tension spring system and thus works even more precisely and smoothly.

Deck Plates With Shock Absorption

DAMPENS THE IMPACT OF THE EARS

DRAGO GT is equipped with a patented suspension mechanism that softens the impact of the corn ears on the deck plates during harvest. The spring-loaded deck plates absorb the energy of the collision and thus allow a gentle picking of corn without losses of ears and kernels.

UP TO 80% LESS SHELLING LOSSES

Particularly under dry harvesting conditions, an overly hard impact of the corn ears on the deck plates leads to increased losses due to the shelling of kernels. These shelling losses are reduced to a minimum by the dampened deck plates of DRAGO GT.

Extra Long Stalk Rollers

GENTLE FEEDING

The stalk rollers of DRAGO GT are up to 25% longer than those of competitors. At the same driving speed, the resulting lower rotational speed leads to a slower entry of the corn plant and therefore to a gentler picking of the corn ear.

NO RIPPING, NO SHAKING

The mounted stalk roller knives are aligned with millimeter precision. This ensures that the corn plants are pulled down vertically without any vibrations being transmitted to the ear. A premature loss of the corn ear is thus prevented.

Flat Working Angle And Conical Gathering Chains

ALSO IN DOWN CORN

Due to its low working angle and the flat design, DRAGO GT allows an optimal harvest even under though conditions. Hereby, it is supported by its conically arranged gathering chains, with noses that reach closer to the ground. These enable DRAGO GT to pick up down corn effectively and to bring in the yield reliably even in case of wind damages.

LESS STRAW IN THE COMBINE

Due to their conical design, DRAGO GT's gathering chains grasp the corn aggressively at first but release the plant as soon as the ear has been picked. This prevents unnecessary plant material from entering the feeder house. The smaller proportion of straw material in the combine facilitates the threshing process and improves the harvesting result.

Individual Component Proctection

MULTIPLE SAFETY

Each row-unit of DRAGO GT is protected four times by slip clutches with different calibrations. This allows the safety mechanisms to intervene before damage to the machine occurs. As a final safety measure, each drive unit is protected by a shear bolt.

NO OVERHEATING, NO RUSTING

All slip clutches are located inside the gearbox and run in oil. Consequently, overheating or rusting is prevented. Also the cross auger is equipped with a slip clutch running in oil.

Extra Large Cross Auger

MAXIMUM TRHOUGHPUT

With a diameter of 500mm, the cross auger is the largest in the industry and ensures a continuous crop flow even at high yields. therefore, DRAGO GT is perfectly prepared for heavy crops, narrow row spacings, and fast harvesting speeds.

CROSS AUGER WITH GEAR DRIVE

In contrast to many competitors, the cross auger of DRAGO GT is not driven by a chain, but by gears. This ensures that it can withstand heavy loads in the long term. Furthermore, to prevent damages, DRAGO GT's cross auger is equipped with a safety clutch.

EFFICIENT POWER TRANSMISSION

By default, DRAGO GT is driven completely chainless only by gear transmission. Its efficient power train largely avoids angular gears and thus minimizes power losses.

All gear parts of DRAGO GT are made out of a high-tech cast iron alloy. This special material allows reduced weight combined with high strength.

TRANSMISSION TECHNOLOGY USED IN THE AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRY

DRAGO GT's main gearbox, exclusively developed by Olimac, is equipped with conical spiral bevel gears, which are frequently used in the automotive sector. This makes the drive train of the DRAGO GT extremely power-efficient and quiet.

Versatility

ALSO FOR SUNFLOWERS

DRAGO GT is quickly prepared for the sunflower harvest. Depending on the requirements and scope, it can be converted to a sunflower head in different stages.

CONVERTED WITHIN MINUTES

In the first step, a sunflower kit consisting of an active rotating knife and a counter blade is installed in each row unit of the header. This ensures a  gentle removal of the sunflower heads during harvest. Per row, the mounting process requires only a few minutes.

SUNFLOWER HARVEST WITHOUT COMPROMISES

Furthermore, DRAGO GT can be equipped with a protection grid, which additionally prevents kernel losses. For larger and more fragile sunflower fields, the header's speed can be reduced by changing its drive gears. This allows an even gentler handling of the sunflowers.

Configuration And Accessories

TOTALLY CUSTOMIZABLE

DRAGO GT is available from four to 24 rows and with row spacings starting from 50cm. It can be ordered optionally with a hydraulic foldable frame and chopping system. Furthermore, you can equip your DRAGO GT with a variety of accessories to meet your individual needs.

FOR ALL COMBINES AND FORAGE HARVESTERS

DRAGO GT is available to match all common combines and forage harvesters and can also be supplied with additional mounting adapters for the use on different vehicles.
