Dave Koenig

Today, Dave Koenig Enterprises, Inc. offers a state-of-the-art solution to age-old subsoiler problems for farmers just like him. If your current equipment tends to collect trash, requires a lot of horsepower to pull or has difficulty ripping through hard soil, Dave Koenig has the answer.

Koenig’s new generation of subsoilers are built with a unique patented rear mounted shank. This distinctive feature allows trash and soil to flow freely out the back while maintaining maximum ripping depth.

Each shank is cut with computer-generated precision. The shank sweeps back from the frame and the curves back under the frame to ensure deeper penetration and additional trash clearance. Because of the special design, our subsoilers allow for easier pull with less horsepower.  Better shatter below the ground brings fewer clods to the surface and leaves a more consistent surface.

This technique is more than just a good idea – it has been proven in the field time and time again.

Heavy Duty Finishing Ripper

Features

Why and Where Finishing Rippers are Used?

Finishing rippers are used in ploughed fields to level and break clods. Being able to enter fields before moisture is lost helps in breaking the clods.

Compaction is eliminated due to the ripper shanks breaking up the soil level for the rollers.  The rollers gauge the depth of the shanks and the shanks put down pressure on the rollers to help break up clods. Finishing rippers are used to loosen up soil in fields to aerate and dry for better ground preparation.

Frames:
All frames are constructed with 5″ x 7″ x 1/2″ structural steel rectangular tubing

Models:
Custom made to meet farmer’s needs, straight bar to flat fold.

Hitch:
Category I, II, and III.

Cage Roller:
Heavy duty 21″ diameter.

Points:
The 2-3/8″ wide by 6-inch long slip on points are cast of a high chrome iron for maximum durability.

Shanks:
The shanks are 1″ thick and have a full 24″ or 30″ clearance between the frame and the point for maximum ripping depth.

Options:
Rear hitch and hydraulic hook-ups.  V-Knifes for root cutting.

Wear Shins:
Pre-cast high chrome iron wear resistant shins on leading edges of shanks to extend the life of the shank.

Heavy Duty Folding Loose Ring Roller

Where are Loose Ring Rollers used?

Ring rollers also known as packers, mulchers or clod busters are one of the oldest and most versatile tillage tools on the farm today.

Pulling a ring roller will insure better seed soil contact and improve seed germination.  In doing so you will help moisture stay in the soil, instead of evaporating out due to air pockets left behind in the fields full of clods.  The result is a more uniform seed bed, for better germination, better moisture condition, and more uniform start throughout the field.

The Koenig ring roller can be used throughout the entire tillage process.  Use the ring roller behind your ripper, disc harrows or as a final pass on seed beds, breaks clods and firm the beds.

Features

Steel rings last longer in rocky or heavy clod conditions; thus cutting down time and costly ring replacement.

The 16/24 rings are all welded construction and are hard faced between rings to eliminate wear.

The floating ring design works excellent on seed beds and for level and uneven ground. Other ring sizes available.

Hydraulic gauge wheels for easy transport. Tyre sizes are 14L-16.1 12 ply.

The DWK ring Roller has one of the best warranties in the market with one year on the frame and on the rings.

Specially mounted teeth are designed to take on the heaviest soils, prone to heavy clods.

Heavy duty drum has 2″ shafts and bearings. The main frame is 5 x 7 x 1/2.
